Maxillary Sinus treatment
The sinus is located above your upper jaw and below your eyes. The root tips of the theeth in the upper jaw are reaching in the sinus. The sinus is ventilated via the nose.
The function of the cavity is to moisten and to warm up the air that you breathe.
A inflammation of the sinus is often caused through an infection of the root tips of the teeth that are reaching into the sinus.
If a symptomatic treatment with inhalation and oral antibiotics is not solving the infection, surgery is necessary to remove infected tissue from the sinus maxillaris.
